Comments & Feedback
As an adjacent land owner (at 3101 S. Wadsworth, Lakewood), I wish to express my support for this project. I attended a neighborhood/community meeting and came away favorably impressed by every aspect of the project.
There is a tremendous need for housing in this more affordable price range. I have many coworkers, younger people mostly, who would qualify for owning one of these attractive homes.
The builder plans to make significant public improvements to facilitate ingress and egress as well as to enhance the neighborhood environment.
All in all, this is a tremendous improvement to our neighborhood and I look forward to being supportive.
Very truly yours,

I have worked in and employed people in Lakewood for over 40 years. One of the greatest challenges has become affordable housing. I have watched the 3113 S. Wadsworth process and am proud of the Lakewood Planning Staff for responsibly overseeing this proposed development while not hindering the developers ability to provide our community with affordable housing. Along with Staff I wholeheartedly support the City Council approving this plan.06/06/2019 7:45 am
I live in Littleton but work in Lakewood.
This is exactly what we need more of!

I would like to express my support for this project. Lakewood has limited options for moderately priced homes and this project will fill that need at an important time. The developer has done a good job meeting a need in this regard.

Just recently heard about this residential community and I think it's a great idea! I live in the Jefferson Green condos nearby and would love to continue to live there but the area's homes are so expensive and will only increase in price. Lakewood needs more affordable housing.06/06/2019 8:26 am
I currently work full-time in Lakewood and have been looking for housing close to my work. It can be very difficult to find something affordable! I would like to voice my support for this project and hope that city council act in the best interest of our community by supporting this project as well.06/06/2019 8:42 am
This is just the type of moderatly priced homes that Lakewood needs to supply its residence with great housing.06/06/2019 9:27 am
This development will provide reasonably priced single family homes. Having grown up in Lakewood and working in Lakewood for 30 plus years it seems to me that this is exactly what Lakewood needs. Mark Skelton06/06/2019 10:40 am
I'm commenting on the building project on the land located at 3113 South Wadsworth Boulevard. I grew up in Lakewood and now both my husband and I work in Lakewood. Developing the land into single family homes is a must! Everyone wants to own a home in Colorado, SO WHY wouldn't Lakewood want to create more of what people want?
Thank you!06/06/2019 2:08 pm
My wife and I have lived in Lakewood for most of our lives. We live just north of the greenbelt and regularly spend a lot of time there. We love this part of Lakewood and know that there's very little moderately priced housing in Lakewood. This appears to be a well-planned development and we are in support of this rezoning and new home community.

I would like to voice my support for the rezone of land at 3113 South Wadsworth Boulevard in Lakewood. It takes me 5 minutes to walk there from where I live and work. There’s been increasing concern for the amount of homelessness in the area and dumping of trash continues to be a problem. I think that’s it’s a better use of the land to have people living there in these new homes, contributing to the tax base, instead of people camping out there and leaving their trash and waste. If we had people living there healthfully and their homes being serviced properly, the area would get cleaned up and the open space would get better use. When people live there in their nice homes, they have a vested interest in the area looking nice. Many times, you’ll see groups of people forming in a new community space and coming together with a citizen watch. When there’s more eyes on an area, there’s more accountability. When people come together and integrate into a neighborhood, the area improves all around.06/07/2019 4:55 pm
I am a Lakewood resident and would like to express my support for this project! I believe it will be a great addition to this area and provides a very attractive product for folks looking for a more affordable option than a standard single family home.06/10/2019 11:10 am
