Uhaul Self-Storage Special Use Permit
Case: SU-17-001
The applicant is requesting a Special Use Permit (SUP) to allow for a mini-warehouse storage use in the Mixed-Use General Urban (M-G-U) zone district. A mini-warehouse storage use is allowed with the approval of a SUP. Per Section 17.2.4.3 of Lakewood's Zoning Ordinance, the Planning Commission makes final decisions on SUP applications.

I am suppose of the redesigned plan submitted by UHaul to the City. I appreciate their willingness to engage and listen to the community.
I am with the Two Creeks Neighborhood Org. We have worked with the neighborhood residents around the U-Haul business on Wadsworth and 8th Ave. After many meetings, U-Haul and the neighborhood residents have agreed on the final design of their new building. The Two Creeks organization has voted to support this neighborhood group so we support the issuance of this special use permit.
