I have lived in the city of Lakewood for 34 years. There is absolutely no reason why Lakewood cannot mandate a mandatory mask requirement in all inside public places. It is for the safety of the citizens. No reason or explanation is excusable. Other cities are doing it without question. The decision is flat out wrong and needs to be reversed immediately. It’s not as if it will be forever. To me it reflects the ability of Jeffco Health and the the City Manager to make wise decisions. At this time, neither are doing this.
