I live in the Wildflower Patio Homes neighborhood to the north and east of the proposed area to be rezoned. I think the property owner has done an excellent job of working with surrounding neighborhoods to address their concerns.

While no one yearns for more traffic, the impact from this development should be minimal. I'm sure that the residents in the area prior to the development of Wildflower Patio Homes weren't too excited about the increase in traffic we brought. We are all part of the problem and I do not feel it fair to hold new developments to a different standard.

It would be great if large areas of land could be left as open space. Unless city residents make a commitment to fund more open space purchases, the city should respect the rights of existing property owners to develop their property.

I approve of the rezoning.
